Machine operators are provided with a state-of-the-art TNC7 user interface, featuring fast response times and an intuitive layout that simplifies daily operation and shortens the learning curve.  

Optimized for CAD/CAM  

The TNC7 select is specially designed for manufacturing ecosystems that rely on CAD/CAM software to create accurate and reliable NC programs for complex parts. As a result, operators are free to focus more on other important tasks, including machine setup, defining presets, and monitoring the machining process.

Optimize the kinematic model

With KinematicsOpt, the control can correct for position errors in rotary axes, thereby increasing accuracy during tilting operations and simultaneous machining. Repeated measurements and corrections even allow temperature-dependent deviations to be offset. The rotary axes are measured with a calibration sphere that is attached to the machine table and probed with a HEIDENHAIN touch probe. Users define the desired pattern of measuring points and a measurement range for each rotary axis beforehand.  

Connectivity functions

The software options OPC UA NC Server and HEIDENHAIN DNC enable seamless connectivity to higher-level systems, digital manufacturing environments, and state-of-the-art shop floors. With widely adopted, internationally standardized OPC UA NC communication technology, integrating machines into your manufacturing IT infrastructure is fast and easy.

Dynamic Precision

Dynamic Precision allows you to achieve high precision despite fast axis movements. This technology suite reduces dynamic errors in the machine tool and ensures higher accuracy at the TCP, enabling perfect finishes at high throughput. It contains software options that improve dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and dynamic performance: 

  • Cross Talk Compensation (CTC): Corrects position errors
  • Machine Vibration Control (MVC): Dampens machine vibrations
  • Position Adaptive Control (PAC): Adapts control parameters based on position
  • Load Adaptive Control (LAC): Adapts control parameters based on loading
  • Motion Adaptive Control (MAC): Adapts control parameters based on motion

Batch Process Manager

Batch Process Manager makes it easy to plan and execute multiple production jobs. Users can also automate recurring workflows for serial runs and unattended machining. Combined with the separately available Pallet Management and Extended Tool Management software options, Batch Process Manager provides added actionable information, including:

  • The duration of the machining operation
  • The availability of required tools
  • Upcoming manual interventions
  • Validation results for assigned NC programs
